New: Warriors Day

In December 2019, Civic Design Studio created and managed the “100 Planters” project. We designed projects for 70 Warriors and East Bay Asian Local Development staff, 4 carpentry classes from Castlemont and Fremont High Schools, and over a dozen teachers and volunteers.

Together we built outdoor planters, picnic tables and gave a 1 acre farm a full upgrade. The work from this project will support efforts around Oakland’s unhoused communities and shared public spaces.
