CONNECTING, CREATING AND CULTIVATING CHANGE IN COMMUNITIES

THROUGH ART, EDUCATION AND ECOLOGY

Civic Design Studio is a team of nationally and internationally-award winning artists, educators, designers and technologists. We grow community partnerships, collaborative project opportunities, and creative pathways across Bay Area cities.

We focus on art, education and ecology and efforts that impact urban planning, economic development and public health.

We create large scale public displays, design builds, and “evergreen” community cultural efforts that come from the voices of local neighborhoods, public schools and cultural community hubs.

We create and support strong cross-sector partnerships through our core strengths to help neighborhoods and communities thrive and be resilient. Civic Design Studio bridges city sectors to address long-standing civic needs in communities:

• Expanding and enriching affordable housing

• Growing cultural hubs

• “Revillaging” cities for resiliency

• Beautifying public spaces, amplifying public safety

• Inspiring cultural and community pride

• Reconnecting to land, water and nature
