We are in multiyear partnership with Mercy Housing, Sunnydale leaders and residents, and a network of local artists connected to Sunnydale and District 10 San Francisco to develop creative opportunities and pathways there.
Civic curated, creative-directed and collaborated with 8 Sunnydale-affiliated local artists in producing large scale permanent artwork for the Hub at Sunnydale. We worked closely with artists, developers, architects, residents and staff to support artist work with stories, hopes and dreams from the long-embattled, resilients and proud neighborhood. Story-gathering, art workshops, meet the artists and more took place over a 2 year period, resulting in work the represents and uplifts the Sunnydale community. Funded by the National Endowment of Arts.
